Eddie Small, a Maryville College student from Lebanon, was recognized with the Outstanding Freshman Leader award during the college’s Leadership Awards Ceremony held April 28 in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall.

Sean Haulk is determined to earn his high school equivalency diploma (GED/HiSET). Along the way to obtaining his goal, he has received help from numerous folks. He attends the Adult Learning Center in Lebanon where all classes are free.

(Jared Felkins • Lebanon Democrat) Former Wilson Central High School JROTC instructor Jack Dempsey is filled with emotions when he comes to Chief Petty Officer Michael L. Stansberry Jr.’s name as he joined six others in reading a list of the fallen soldiers from Wilson County. Stansberry, who was killed in Afghanistan, was one of Dempsey’s students in high school.

Russell Ewings Jr., of Lebanon, earned the Most Creative Award during the 2015 Spring Semester Award Show at Nossi College of Art. He was one of only 14 students to earn an award and was included in over 100 total nominations. Ewings will graduate on June 7 with a Bachelor of Illustration degree.
