A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony is set for Thursday at Hamilton Station.
The event will be at noon at the Hamilton Station amenity center at 100 Hamilton Station Crossing inside the Hamilton Springs development off U.S. 70 in west Lebanon.
Hamilton Station apartments, built by Gross Builders, are the first phase of Hamilton Springs, the first transit-oriented development in Tennessee.
When completed, developers said Hamilton Springs will be a traditional neighborhood village of homes and businesses with a Music City Star commuter train station at its center. The 221-acre community will also incorporate walking-distance access to offices and retailers from apartments. It is the first Middle Tennessee development planned, designed and constructed to emphasize use of transportation modes other than cars, according to developers.
The celebration will include a ribbon cutting at the community’s amenity center. The grand opening will also be the venue for a luncheon for the 2013 Tennessee Public Transportation Association convention where members will ride the Music City Star and stop at the first transit-oriented development in Tennessee.
The Hamilton Station apartments are just one component of this new Bell Property Development venture. Jack Bell’s newest transit-oriented development, Hamilton Springs, brings to Wilson County a mix of homes, apartments and retail spaces designed to be within walking distance in the spirit of a traditional neighborhood. Gross Builders has built the first residences that include one-three-bedroom apartment homes now available for lease.
Hamilton Station will feature 396 total apartment homes when the site is complete. The floorplan designs are large with versatile layouts that cater to many different residents' needs, developers said. Hamilton Station’s exterior design focuses on individualized elements of brick and stone creating facades that will have the feel of a traditional brownstone building. There is even a mix of balconies and sunrooms to suit individual resident preferences. An amenity center at Hamilton Station will feature a pool with grand wet deck, social room for residents, 24-hour business center and fitness center.
As part of the grand opening celebration, the 2013 Tennessee Public Transportation Association convention has planned an excursion to the site to view the first transit-oriented development in Tennessee. The Hamilton Station apartment site is off U.S. 70 between State Route 109 and U.S. 231.
Hamilton Station is the seventh Gross Builders property in Tennessee.
“We are very proud of this site and are excited to have the opportunity to have a presence in Lebanon,” said Gary Gross. “Our team worked hard to design and build a quality community that offers Lebanon and Wilson County something very special.”
