A director on the board at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores Inc. sold 5,000 shares Monday.

With a price of just more than $100 per share at the time of sale, Andrea Weiss received more than $500,000 in the transaction. Weiss’ sale of shares was reported Tuesday to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to the SEC report, Weiss has 9,932 shares remaining she currently owns.

Cracker Barrel’s corporate website lists Weiss as the president and chief executive of Retail Consulting Inc., a retail consulting firm, since October 2002. She is the former chairman of Cortefiel Group, a European retailer, from April 2006 to June 2007 and is a former executive vice president and chief store officer for The Limited, Inc. and Intimate Brands, Inc.

Weiss, 59, was elected to the Cracker Barrel board in 2003.

Cracker Barrel shares remained just more than $100 per share in NASDAQ trading Wednesday, just below its $100.61-per-share high for the year.
