Meet Maya, the Lifesaver! Maya is a beautiful Tortie female cat - she is friendly, calm and loving. But why is she a lifesaver? Well, after raising her own litter, when she was found abandoned with them, she then raised several more orphan kittens. The orphans would not have survived on foster care alone - but Maya took over their nursing and nurturing - and all are doing well and getting ready for new homes. Maya is now ready for her new home also. She is healthy - tested feline leukemia negative, current on shots, and will be spayed for adoption. She has been in the care of a very grateful foster - who will tell you how wonderful Maya is - just call Lorna 615-946-3643 to hear all about Mama Maya.
Shakey is a beautiful Anatolian Shepherd mix - blonde with wonderful black shading on her face. She was found as a stray - very dehydrated and skinny in the recent heat - but has behaved wonderfully in her foster home. Shakey is about 1-2 years old, spayed and current on shots - she will be microchipped for adoption, also. Shakey is housetrained in her foster home and has nice calm inside manners. She likes going for walks - she will chase squirrels and may chase a cat also - so a cat-free home is probably best for her. For information on this lovely lady, contact Annelise 615-449-3796.

If you’re a lover of spunky dogs, then spiffy Mr. “Bouncy Pants” Bailey is the guy for you! This adorable youngster is just about as spunky as they come. Bailey is an 8 1/2 month old white and black Jack Russell Terrier mix. He weighs just 13 pounds, but he is an active and lively 13 pounds. Bailey was found walking down a neighborhood street with no owner in sight. A kind citizen took him in hoping to find his owners but they were never located. So, lucky for you, Bailey is now available for adoption.
He has a happy-go-lucky personality and good looks and just wants to find his forever home where he can play and snuggle with his new family. Once you see his little tail wag at warp speed and his big brown eyes, you’ll be hard pressed to turn away from such a fun little lad. With an approved application, Bailey can be your best canine friend for $135. Bailey is neutered, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside – especially at night.
Stella is a 3 year old, sweet, 8 pound, Tabico kitty who came to New Leash on Life with her four 10 day old kittens – Sage, Thyme, Parsley, and Rosemary. She was found as a stray and had her kittens shortly after being taken in by a local resident. Stella has weaned her kittens and she is now ready for her forever home. She is extremely sweet and loves head and chin scratches. She has the most beautiful green eyes, and very soft fur. Adopt this fabulous girl for $85. Stella is litter box trained, spayed, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. Adoption Center Policy: All cats must be indoor only and shall not be declawed.
