Second annual Scarecrow Walk upcoming in Granville in October

The second annual Granville Scarecrow Walk will be in Historic Granville Oct. 4-31.
Travel to Granville and view the life size fabulous, funny, small and tall, sweet and scary, silly and sophisticated historic fold art characters and traditional scarecrows lurking about in the buildings and in the most unexpected places.
Enjoy the many creative and diverse historical characters and traditional scarecrows as they tell the story of pioneers in Jackson County, legends in Tennessee history and memories of life in rural riverboat farming community. Visitors will be able to pick up a printed Scarecrow Walking Guide that will tell the history of each person.
This event will open as part of the Granville Fall Celebration on Oct. 4. The walk will be open Wednesday thru Friday from noon-3 p.m. and Saturday from noon-5 p.m. A fall lunch will be served at Sutton General Store and groups are welcome as well. Granville will also host the second annual Historic Granville Ghost Walk on Oct. 24 and 25 and dinner will be served this year as part of this event at Sutton General Store.
