10th annual Walk for Life to benefit Pregnancy Care Center

Staff Reports • Updated Sep 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM

The 10th annual Walk for Life to benefit the Pregnancy Care Center will be held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet.

Registration will open at 8:45 a.m., and participants may walk at their convenience between 9-11 a.m.

The walk is one of the center’s largest fundraisers of the year and expected to be an enjoyable time for attendees. The two-mile walk will consist of four half-mile loops on the flat, paved campus of the church and Mt. Juliet Christian Academy campus.

The non-competitive walk will be ideal for families with strollers or wheelchairs.  Everyone who raises $150 or more in donations will receive a free T-shirt, and all money raised will go to directly benefit babies and families in the Wilson County and eastern Davidson County area.

The Pregnancy Care Center serves to empower individuals to make life-affirming decisions through education, counseling and compassionate care, based on the ministry of Jesus Christ. All services are free and confidential and include pregnancy tests, options education, limited ultrasound imaging, group and individual parenting classes, material support for mother and baby, fatherhood resources and education, abortion recovery support and sexual risk avoidance, STI and relationship information. The PCC is a nonprofit organization and operates completely on donations from the community.

The Pregnancy Care Center is at 4989 Lebanon Pike in Old Hickory. It’s open Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Thursday from noon until 7 p.m.
