A computer issue caused some stress for parents of many Wilson County Schools students over the weekend.
The email mistakenly sent to several hundred parents reported that their student had received a failing grade on the TCAP test.
Interim Director of Schools Mary Ann Sparks said she received a message from a parent asking about this email on Sunday.
“Apparently, the email referenced May 28, the day before TCAP scores were put into Parent Connect,” Sparks said. She also said that students cannot have a failing grade on TCAPs.
The technology team at the Central Office was informed of the issue Monday, and Sparks said that “by 11 a.m. technology was working on it and keeping more emails from going out.”
She said the problem has since been resolved.
