Lebanon High School brought out all of its teams, clubs and students Friday morning to take part in the annual parade in honor of homecoming week. This years homecoming game will be Lebanon vs Laverne High. Along with the parade Lebanon High School has also had Blue Devil Pride dress down days all week in honor of Friday nights homecoming game.

The parade also served as a celebration of the new year at the high school.

The parade started off with JROTC members who led the way, a performance by the Lebanon High School marching band under the direction of Eric Spear and Ben Chanel and then a recognition of all of the sports teams. There were several floats to introduce the varsity football team, freshman football team, followed by the varsity and freshmen cheerleaders, girl’s soccer team and a presentation from Lebanon’s dance team.

The freshmen homecoming queen and king were Yosari Calderon and Ty Bailey. The sophomore queen and king were Jenna Simms and Levi Sampson. The junior queen and king were Shea Otis and Thomas Bryant.

This year’s senior homecoming king and queen were announced at Friday night’s game. Danielle Redmond and Ryan Fung, Zia Hamilton and Hayden Bone and Sidney Kurtz and Jonathan Presley were in the running.

“The parade is a good way to kick off things to get the students to show their Blue Devil pride and to engage with the community,” said teacher Raychel Goodman.

The senior float was represented by Caitlyn King, Megan Jaselski, Reid Owen, Cameron Wisdom, Zack Green, Shivam Desai, Arlie Birket, Carlie Fox, Joseph Whitefield and Leah Brandt.

The junior float, which appeared to be a crowd favorite, was represented by Bentley Spicer, Alex O’Dell, Izzy Magana, Gigi White, Alex Nugent and Samantha Stubblefield.
