The Democrat to provide coverage of CMA Fest

Thousands of country music fans will take over downtown Nashville this weekend for the annual CMA Fest.

The Lebanon Democrat newsroom staff will be there, as well, to offer full coverage of the event online, on social media and in print. “We want to offer as much coverage as we can throughout this year’s CMA Fest for our Wilson County residents unable to attend,” said Jared Felkins, director of content. “We are sending writers Caitlin Rickard and Kimberly Jordan to provide full coverage of the event. Festival officials said there will be attendees from all 50 states, as well as 24 foreign countries with 450 artists and celebrities participating. With 11 stages and more artists and activities than ever before, this year’s festival will thrill and excite the fans. Officially running Thursday through Sunday, the show offers acts, including Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, former contestants on “The Voice,” and many more. Festival activities kick off at 10 a.m. each day.

“We are so proud to present the 2014 CMA Music Festival to the fans,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “The sheer volume and level of talent and activities this year will offer the best festival experience to date.”
