Country music fans can enjoy a concert from country music star Mark Chesnutt on Wednesday night at the Wilson County Fair.

Chesnutt will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

“We are looking forward to a nice country music concert,” said Wilson County Promotions Executive Director Helen McPeak.

Other events in the line up Wednesday include the dairy show and a junior dairy cattle show. Go-cart races will rev up at the motor sports arena, and the nightly $1,000 cash drawing will also be held.

“We will be honoring our Wilson County farmers in the morning,” McPeak said.

There are two pageants scheduled Wednesday, as well. King of the Fair Divisions I and II, as well as Fair Princess Division IV, are scheduled in the pageant pavilion.

There were 15,989 guests through the gates Monday, bringing the four-day total to 194,424 in attendance.

“It’s been a good week,” McPeak said. “We’ve had some rain but we are having a great week.”

McPeak said the Music City Star will make two trips to the fairgrounds Saturday, as well. The first will leave Riverfront Station at 11 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m.
