Workers plan to allow a Lebanon street under recent nightly repair to remain open this weekend.
Officials with Conrad Construction Co., under contract with the city to do the work, said Thursday the street between Market Street and the square will remain open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights to allow work already done to settle and concrete to cure.
Nightly road closures will resume Monday. Officials said the street repair time must be extended until March 11 due to the weather and its effect on the flowable fill required in the utility ditch. Currently the street is closed from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. to allow workers to make repairs in conjunction with the city square sewer project.
Officials also cautioned commuters to expect some lane closures during the day, as well, until the work is complete.
The nightly road closure will not allow for any through traffic but the daily lane closure will allow for through traffic.
