Evacuated motel residents charged in armed robbery

Three people, including a girl listed as a runaway from Mt. Juliet, evacuated from a Lebanon motel following a methamphetamine lab explosion Saturday were charged in an armed robbery early Sunday morning.
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said the incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. at Daily’s Shell Station next to where a meth lab exploded at the Traveller’s Inn motel and blew out a door and wall. Two suspects witnesses reported leaving the motel room immediately following the explosion remain at large.
Bowen said an adult couple and a runaway girl from Mt. Juliet apparently conspired to rob the convenience store at gunpoint. He said the girl entered the store, showed the clerk a pistol and demanded money and cigarettes.
Bowen said the girl then left with the items. He said officers found and charged the trio a short time later and determined the gun was a toy Airsoft pistol.
Ellis Vantrell Sanders, 19, of Lebanon, was charged with aggravated robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He remained Sunday afternoon in Wilson County Jail with bond set at $17,500.
Robin Leann Sanders, 22, of Mt. Juliet, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She also remained Sunday afternoon in Wilson County Jail with bond set at $1,000.
Bowen said the 17-year-old girl, unidentified because of her age, was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to juvenile detention.
