Lebanon police are investigating the shooting death of a Lebanon man early Saturday morning.

Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said the incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. at 15 Joseph Street. He said officers responded to a shots fired call and arrived to find the man dead lying in the road.

On Monday, Bowen said the man was Ronald Johnson Sr., 43. He said investigators believe Johnson went to the area to buy narcotics. He said a large crowd was gathered at the time of the shooting

Bowen said no other information is available as officers continue to investigate. Anyone with any information is asked to call Lebanon police at 615-444-2323.
