Brazen suspect sought for TV theft

Mt. Juliet police want to catch a suspect who walked into Walmart two weeks ago and pushed a large flat-screen television out the front doors without paying.

According to police, surveillance cameras caught the act on video. Officers were called to the Walmart on Oct. 24 after loss prevention employees realized the suspect pushed the television out the front doors without paying for it.

Video revealed the suspect grabbed a shopping cart, went to the electronics section, loaded a 47-inch flat screen TV on to the shopping cart, pushed it out the front doors and loaded it into his vehicle. The TV is valued near $620.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man around 40 years old, 6-feet tall with a thin build. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a red Nike hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. His vehicle is described as a dark gold 1993-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with missing hub caps.
