A shooting, fire and strong-arm robbery all within two hours kept Lebanon and Wilson County authorities on the go Thursday night.
The first reported incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. at First Tennessee Bank on W. Main Street.
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said a woman reported she was making a deposit at the bank’s night deposit box when a black man approached her, took the blue bank bag she was attempting to deposit and her phone and left. The victim was not injured.
Police were searching for a black man dressed in all black driving a black Silverado pickup truck.
At about 7 p.m., police responded to a shots fired call at 609 W. Adams St. A man was shot in the back, but no other details were available. Police were looking for a silver BMW with an unknown number of occupants in that case.
At around 8:20 p.m., Lebanon firefighters and WEMA units responded to a barn fire at 610 Rome Pike. According to dispatch, injuries were reported, but the victims were taken by personal vehicle to University Medical Center.
The barn was apparently a total loss.
