Lebanon police charged the daughter of country legend Hank Williams Sr. with her second driving under the influence offense in about as many months.
According to Wilson County Jail arrest records, Jett Williams Adkinson, 61, of Hartsville, was charged with DUI, violation of conditional release for alcohol and violation of implied consent law. Adkinson was booked in Friday just before midnight and released Saturday at 4:55 a.m. on $1,500 bond. A court date was set for June 9.
A police report wasn’t immediately available because it hadn’t been filed as of Saturday night.
Lebanon police also charged Adkinson with DUI on Feb. 25. Her court date for that charge was expected to be April 28 but was apparently continued.
After the February arrest, Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said around 2:35 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on a 1998 tan Jaguar for suspicion of DUI after observing the car swerve between lanes.
Bowen said at the time Adkinson was charged with DUI and issued citations for not wearing a seatbelt and not having proof of current insurance.
