A 17-year-old female claimed she was raped Saturday at a Lebanon motel, according to police.
Officers said Wilson County sheriff’s deputies contacted them concerning a possible rape after a female victim called 911 and said she was raped.
Officers responded to the victim’s home, where she told police she met a “James” subject on plentyoffish.com.
She said in the report “James” picked her up Saturday around 1 a.m. at her home before they drove to Shop Springs Baptist Church where “James” started kissing her and rubbing her breasts.
Officers asked the victim if she asked the suspect to stop and she said, “No, I was too scared.”
The victim told officers “James” drove her to an extended-stay motel, went room 108, and he began to have sex with her vaginally, orally and anally.
Officers again asked the victim if she asked the suspect to stop, and she again said, “No, I was too scared.”
The victim’s mother took her to University Medical Center for an evaluation, and detectives also responded to the hospital, where a sexual assault kit was taken.
Officers gathered the victim’s clothes and determined the motel to be the Travel Inn on Murfreesboro Road.
They said they found James Douglas Hutchings, 22, of Lebanon, in room 108.
Bedding was also collected from the room, as well as photographs, texts and pictures on Hutchings’ phone from the victim, and DNA swabs.
Hutchings was charged with statutory rape and was held on $4,000 bond. He has an Aug. 5 court date.
