Mt. Juliet police investigators seek to identify a man who may know the whereabouts of a stolen wallet that contained a large amount of cash.

On Saturday, an officer was called to the Mapco gas station at 11247 Lebanon Road for a stolen wallet report. The victim said he left his wallet on top of his vehicle and drove away. When the victim returned to the gas station to look for his wallet, a store clerk said a man came into the store to report he found a wallet in the parking lot, but he never gave the wallet to the clerk or returned it to the victim.

Police said the person of interest is described as a white male in his mid-20s with an average body-build and a beard.

On the day the wallet was stolen, video surveillance shows him wearing a gray T-shirt with a landscaping company logo and khaki pants. The man was seen getting in and out of a white landscaping-style work truck.

Police said they hope someone in the community will recognize the man from the surveillance video so he can be questioned about the stolen wallet.

Anyone with any information regarding this crime is encouraged to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at 615-754-2550. Information can also be given anonymously by calling 615-754-8477 or via the Mt. Juliet Police Department website at mjpd.org.
