Mt. Juliet police located a suspect wanted in Ohio for felony drug possession during a traffic stop Friday.

According to police spokesperson Lt. Tyler Chandler, an officer clocked a car on radar driving 61 mph in a 35 mph zone on S. Greenhill Road near Willoughby Station Boulevard.

The driver, identified as Alexander Kurth, 31, of Old Hickory, was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 25 mph while he was delivering pizzas.

Chandler said a computer through a national database revealed Kurth was wanted on a full extradition warrant from Ohio. An indictment filed in the Shelby County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas on July 21 charged Kurth with fifth-degree felony drug possession.

Officers charged Kurth as a fugitive from justice. He was booked in at the Wilson County Jail and held without bond until extradition to Ohio.
