A Wilson County sheriff’s deputy was called to Dell Drive on a report of an aggravated assault. When the deputy arrived, he saw a boy at the top of a stairwell in a rage.
The deputy told him to come down the steps, and the boy complied.
After the deputy patted him down for weapons, the boy became aggressive toward the deputy.
After speaking with the person who called the police, the boy started throwing things in the house and, at one point, swung an object at his mother, injuring her.
The deputy took the boy into custody and escorted him to a patrol car.
Once in the car, the boy spit on and attempted to bite the deputy who tried to put a seat belt on him.
The boy was then taken to Youth Services and then to the Rutherford County Detention Center until his initial court appearance.
He was charged with domestic assault, resisting arrest and unruly behavior.
