To the Editor:
The Lebanon Gas Department’s Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success Saturday. Fiddlers Grove was full of families out on a beautiful Easter Eve to enjoy the sunshine and to find the elusive gold and silver eggs or to bring us their colorful decorated eggs, to take a ride on a fire engine and foremost to see and visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny.
We wish to take the time to thank everyone involved in putting on the egg hunt, egg coloring contest and making sure Mr. and Mrs. Bunny were comfortable for pictures with the little ones, as well as those helping with the fire engine rides.
So much goes into getting ready for this event, and there are many folks behind the scenes who spend hours getting things together and being there to handle it all.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank all the city of Lebanon employees who participated and are always there with a helping hand for us.
Amazon, one of our newest corporate neighbors, gets a great big thank you for making sure we had bicycles for 4-6 year olds and 7-8 year olds. They went above and beyond when our last prize winner was a little boy, and all that was left was a nice pink girl’s bike, by assuring him he would get a boys bike, they would see to it.
We look forward to working more with Amazon in the future, and again our heart-felt gratitude for all you did to make those little boys and girls smile.
For now, Mr. and Mrs. Bunny have hopped their way home after spending a wonderful spring morning with so many families of Wilson County.
Congratulations to all those who found golden or silver eggs and received a Grand Prize, and those who colored eggs for the egg decorating contest and won gift cards. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
