To the Editor:
A few ups and downs in the world of politics are to be expected. However, when more than a third of one’s campaign signs are stolen in one night, it makes you wonder if it’s worth the effort to continue running a campaign.
As a two-term commissioner of District 6, I have worked hard to uphold the high ethical standards of the Wilson County Commission. I plan to continue this effort when I am re-elected.
I want to thank those who supported me by allowing me to place signs in their yards. However, because of someone’s thoughtless acts, I will replace very few signs. It’s a shame that an honest campaign is made more difficult by the deliberate actions of others.
Commissioner, District 6
