Forrester celebrates 100th birthday

Quality Rehab and Health Center officials honored resident Lela Forrester on her 100th birthday July 17.
State Rep. Mark Pody was on hand, along with family members Lea Forrester, James Robinson and his wife, Peggy, and their son.
Pody presented Lela Forrester with a special Orange Book from the state of Tennessee and a certificate signed from the governor celebrating 100 years of her life.
Lela Forrester was born July 17, 1914. She graduated from Watertown High School and played basketball for all four years. She also worked for Cain Sloan Department Store for 17 years.
She later went to work for the state of Tennessee and retired after 25 years. She is a member of the Baptist Church in Nashville.
