Aside from her usual activities at 12, she is now speaking out through her book, “Stop Bullying,” in hopes to raise awareness from a youth’s perspective to the dangers of bullying. “Stop Bullying” is about a boy named Robbie who gets bullied by a boy named Steve. It brings to light the problem while encouraging parents to help their children find solutions. It is quite common to hear of adults taking a stand on this issue as the rise of bullying increases.
However, it is rather uncommon to hear of teens taking this stand. Robyn is not stopping with just an “author status.” She has begun her book-signing tour at public libraries and restaurants and embarked on a daycare tour March 29.
Robyn was also nominated for the 31st annual Stellar Awards this year for her song, “He’s B4 Me.”
Robyn is a great role model to young people of implementing action behind an idea. She has set an example that you are never too young to make a difference.
Robyn puts action behind her faith and applies the word found in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness and purity.”
In order to make a difference you must be different, standing up to adversity and normalcy, blazing the trail worthy for others to follow. Gratitude goes out to Robyn and young people like her who stand up, step out and refuse to step down. She is one teen we will see for many years to come.
