Police ID body found at Waffle House

Police have identified the out of state woman recently discovered dead in a vehicle parked at the Waffle House in Mt. Juliet.

Acccording to Mt. Juliet Police spokesperson Tyler Chandler, the deceased was positively identified as a Terri DeNeal, 52, of Harrisburg, Ill.

"She was wanted by the United States Marshals on a federal indictment issued on Sept. 4, 2013 for mail fraud," Chandler said in a press release on the MJPD newsroom website. "The investigation into the mail fraud case was conducted by the Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations for the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs."

Officers were called to the restaurant at 236 South Mt. Juliet Road about a suspected deceased female in a vehicle in the parking lot. According to police, officers and members of Wilson Emergency Management Agency determined the woman was dead. MJPD criminal investigators and a medical examiner then processed the scene and body, said police officials.

The preliminary investigation revealed this was not a criminal incident, and  no obvious foul play, said police.
