Deadland fundraiser nets $1,000 for United Way

Someone asking for money might be viewed as scary these days, but the scare was for a good cause during the recent Deadland fundraiser for United Way of Wilson County.

The unique venue that offers three haunted trails on 7040 Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon, offered two fundraising nights, one to benefit New Leash On Life and another for UWWC on Sept. 20-21.

“We couldn’t be happier that owner Dana Chapman thought of us for this fundraiser,” said United Way president John McMillin. “The actors put on a great show that leaves the hair standing on the back of your neck, but everything is very well done and safe. The owners have put this on for several years now, and we’re very happy to have been a part of this unique entertainment venue.”

United Way funds stay local serving 32 local agencies that support area residents. For more information on Deadland, check out deadlandwoods.com.
