A single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 40 in Wilson County injured two people over the weekend.
Sgt. Bill Miller with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred near the 228 mile marker on I-40 east Sunday around 12:58 a.m.
According to the report, the 1994 Oldsmobile Delta 88 was traveling eastbound on I-40 when the driver, Kaitlin Lamastus, 19, of Lebanon, lost control of the vehicle and slid sideways. The vehicle then left the right side of the roadway and crashed through a guardrail before overturning and rolling down an embankment and coming to rest on its top.
The passenger, Evan Hopper, 18, of Lebanon, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center via LifeFlight.
Lamastus was transported by ambulance to TriStar Summit Hospital.
Lamastus was charged with DUI, vehicle assault and underage consumption.
