Spring Gala to benefit senior center

MT. JULIET – Shopping, dining and entertainment are on tap at Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center’s annual Spring Gala on Saturday in Mt. Juliet.

The event, sponsored by Modern Woodmen, will be from 5-7 p.m. at Walter Sellars Christian Life Center on North Mt. Juliet Road.

Center Executive Director Linda McClanahan said the gala is also presented by Vista Point and Elite Audiology.

She said dinner is compliments of the Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club, and the evening will include a silent auction. Some of the items will include an Eddie George limited-edition sketch, a hand-carved wooden eagle, wine packages, Coach purses, celebrity gifts, health and beauty baskets for men and women, cooking and home decor, jewelry and more.

“The event will be emceed by Tom Grant,” said McClanahan. “And there will be entertainment compliments of Mark Edwards. He will sing songs from Sinatra to Johnny Cash to Kenny Rogers.”

The cost of the event is $25 for senior members and $40 for non-members. A business table of eight is $300. For more information on sponsorships, tickets or how to donate items, call 615-758-9114.
