The Lebanon-Wilson County Public Library kicked off its Summer Reading Program festivities Tuesday with a Super Science program, and several other events are planned throughout the week and the summer.
Activities began with a morning bout of learning and fun at 10 a.m. for a “Super Science” program from Super Science Tennessee. An additional program was also offered at 1 p.m.
The program, which was located in the children’s area of the library and designed for children of all ages, put “Super Scientist” Mr. Richie in the spotlight, as well as the hoards of children in attendance who volunteered as assistants.
Through Super Science Tennessee and Mr. Richie’s countless experiments Tuesday, students of all ages were given the opportunity to experience first-hand the wonders of science.
From interactive experiments with electricity, bubbles, dry ice and more, Mr. Richie demonstrated that science could be fun, while also engaging the young students and encouraging them to keep their thinking caps on.
Mr. Richie and Super Science Tennessee are also available for booking for birthday parties, special events, summer camps and more. For more information, visit supersciencetn.com.
Additionally, on Wednesday the library will host Ozzie, the Nashville Sounds mascot, as he holds a program for children of all ages from 10-10:45 a.m. in the kids area. For more photos, click here.
