A local tattoo parlor lent its support to Wilson County’s furry friends Sunday.

Bright Ideas Tattoo, located on Sparta Pike in Lebanon, held the “Paws for a Cause” pet carnival and tattoo-a-thon all day Sunday to benefit New Leash on Life.

The shop offered $25-$50 tattoos all day, with all proceeds from the event benefitting the local animal rescue organization.

And intermittent rain Sunday didn’t even put a damper on the event, as animal lovers of all ages turned out to enjoy the festivities.

Children had the opportunity to ride ponies, play in the bounce house and have their faces painted. Additionally, local pet-related businesses were onsite to provide information and demonstrations about their services.

The event also featured animals onsite for adoption, the Spay and Neuter Clinic, a craft fair, raffles, drawings, a silent auction, contests, music and food.
