Staff Reports • Updated Jul 21, 2016 at 9:00 AM

The third and final Jammin’ with the General of the year will be Thursday and is expected to bring energy and enthusiasm to the square with the dance band, Four on the Floor. Traveling from Fayetteville, the seven-piece ensemble performs iconic dance songs that span several genres from Motown to disco and beyond. Together for 30 years, Four on the Floor travel the southeastern United States playing everything from “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by the Temptations to “Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison and “Wooly Bully” by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, to “Some Kind of Wonderful” by Grandfunk Railroad and many in between.

Music fans may come early and enjoy shopping at the Mill at Lebanon and the Historic Lebanon Main Street, then delight in unique shopping on the square during Late Night Lebanon. Food trucks will be parked early for preconcert concessions and include Southern Kitchen, Two Fat Men Ice Cream, Kona Ice and Sumthin’ Smokin’.

Jammin’ with the General is a free family friendly community concert open to the public. Attendees should bring lawn chairs.

Jammin’ with the General is presented by the special events division of the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and offers three nights of entertainment on Lebanon’s revitalized square, which was recently awarded the 2016 John S. Wilder Rebuild Tennessee Award.
