Funeral services for Mrs. Goodwin are scheduled to be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes with eulogy to be given by Anne Eastes and Brother Stephen Sauls officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Goodwin family will be only on Sunday from noon until the service time at 3:30 p.m.
Mrs. Goodwin, age 78 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon.
Mrs. Goodwin was born Nov. 2, 1934 in Smith County, the daughter of the late Estelle Armistead and John J. Hunter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Hunter and Johnny Hunter. Mrs. Goodwin worked as a beautician in Portland for many years, and was also employed at Chesters in downtown Nashville.
Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her daughter, Lori (Jody) Ussery, of Mt. Juliet; son. William Goodwin, of Hendersonville; granddaughter, Brittany Ussery, of Hermitage; and her extended family of the staff and employees of Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon.
The Goodwin family requests that donations in Mrs. Alma’s memory be made to the Grace United Methodist Church in Mt. Juliet.
The Gordonsville chapel of Bass Funeral Home is directing.
