Jere N. McCulloch

Funeral services for Mr. McCulloch will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 N. Mt. Juliet Rd., Mt. Juliet with Frank Batson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Mr. McCulloch, 66, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. Jere was the founding partner of the law firm of McCulloch & Aulds and a founding member of its successor, Rochelle, McCulloch & Aulds, PLLC. He had served as the managing member of the firm since its inception. Jere was a lifetime resident of Wilson County. He graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1965. Jere received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1972. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Tennessee in 1973 and had practiced law in Lebanon since that time. Jere enjoyed all sports, supporting the Mt. Juliet Bears sports programs, especially football, until his death. He also enjoyed cycling and held a black belt in karate. Jere served as former president of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, former president of the 15th Judicial Bar Association and was a member of the Exchange Club of Lebanon.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Spencer Bass.

He is survived by daughter, Laura (Paul) Bass; parents, Forrest “Nabe” and Alice Jones McCulloch; brothers, Guy (Ann) McCulloch and Dale (Mary) McCulloch; and grandchildren, Brayden Bass and Elizabeth Bass.

Active pallbearers will be Clint McCulloch, Jimmy McCulloch, Matt McCulloch, Lynn McCulloch, Earl McCulloch, Robert McCulloch and Stan Force. Honorary pallbearers will be members and staff of Rochelle, McCulloch & Aulds and Raymond Matheney, Henry McCall, Howard Sanders and Elmer Richerson.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Mt. Juliet-Wilson County Library, 2765 N. Mt. Juliet Rd., Mt. Juliet, TN 37122, the Lebanon-Wilson County Library, 108 S. Hatton Ave., Lebanon, TN 37087 or the local charity of your choice.
