The memorial service for Mr. Vermeulen, conducted by Pastor Jon Akins, is Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Church at 1660 Leeville Pike in Lebanon, 615-444-0111. Mr. Vermeulen was a retired machine repairman and millwright with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Union City.

Mr. Vermeulen, age 73, died Oct. 26, 2013 at his residence.        

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Louise Jarvis; brother, Art Vermeulen; and sister, Sharon Harmon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Vermeulen; sons and their wives, Brad and Denise Vermeulen of Lebanon, Craig and Wendy Vermeulen, of Sandy, Ore.; three grandchildren, Kennedy, Grant and Georgia Anne Vermeulen; and brother, Jack Vermeulen, of Zephyrhills Fla.
