Ruth McGrew Wilfong

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Wilfong is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 with visitation from 9 a.m. until the service at Sellars Funeral Home.
Ruth McGrew Wilfong passed away on Nov. 13, 2013. She went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Ruth was a daughter, mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren and always had a loving way with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Brittain and Alton Sutton McGrew; brothers, James Calvin McGrew, Alton Dale McGrew, John Michael McGrew, Dan Brittain McGrew; and sisters, Linda Pearl McGrew and Rebecca Sue McGrew.
She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Robert Craig Wilfong after 53 years of marriage. She leaves two sons, C. Craig Wilfong of Lorton, Va. and Ward McGrew Wilfong (Tracie) of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Laura Wilfong Petty (Larry); and two granddaughters, Emma Grace Petty and Mae Elaine Petty, of Lebanon.
Ruth enjoyed a successful career after raising her children. She had extraordinary office skills and worked in banking, insurance and for the Federal government twice, once for Office of Personnel Management and once for U.S. Federal Courts.
Ruth and Bob were members of the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon and enjoyed their friends in The Questors Sunday School class.
