Clarance Louis “Cotton” Flatt

Services for Mr. Flatt will be Friday, Jan. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Anderson and Bro. Mark Miller officiating. Interment will be in Flatt Cemetery on Flynns Creek Highway in Jackson County. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Flatt, 84, of Cookeville, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a factory worker at Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Long Branch Community Church in Gordonsville and a former member of Church of God of Baxter.

He was preceded in death by parents, Boyd Lee and Eula Louise Flatt; daughter, Diane McDonald; and brothers, Billy and Erman C. Flatt.

Survivors include: wife, Sara Flatt of Cookeville; son, Donnie Flatt Lenox of Peoria, Ill.; daughters, Wanda (Ron) Flatt Horton, Denny Klausing Sandy (David) Braves and Connie Vanderhedin, all of Peoria, Penny (Johnny) Dyer of Gainesboro, Tenn. and Shelia (Mark) Hammock of Cookeville; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Herman D. Flatt of Gainesboro; and sister, Thelma Petty of Gainesboro.
