Wallace Lee Armistead

Funeral services for Mr. Armistead will be Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Elder Charles Allen Gentry and Elder James Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday after 9 a.m.

Mr. Armistead, age 75, of Lebanon, died Feb. 12, 2014 at his home.

Born in Smith County, he was the son of the Late Melvin and Kate Farmer Armistead.  He retired from Ross Gear and attended Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Overstreet Armistead; son, Danny Todd Armistead; two sisters, Wilma Lois Summers, Inez Shores. 

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Moore Armistead; two children, Elder Ronnie (Barbara) Armistead, Kelley Ann (Lee Garner) Armistead; four grandchildren, Bruce and Crystal Garner, Allen Bentley, Jack Schaffner; and great-grandchild, Hunter Hix.

Pallbearers will be Randy Anderson, Harold Moore, Jack Schaffner, Bruce Garner, Allen Bentley, Steve Shores, Chris Hix and Jimmy Warren.
