Bonita Bell Raby Burton Rogers

Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Leo Bachard officiating. Interment will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery in Lynchburg. The family will receive friends from Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 5-9 p.m., at the Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home at 181 Majors Blvd. in Lynchburg.

Mrs. Rogers, 86 of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed from this life Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

She was born Dec. 10, 1927 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Willis Shofner and Lorena (Allen) Raby. She worked in the bottling house at Jack Daniels Distillery, and she was a member of the Mulberry Church of Christ.

Bonita was preceded in death by her husband, Harry T Burton; husband, James A "Jim" Rogers; daughter, Peggy Gattis; son, Jerry Burton; sister, Mary Burton; brothers, Oliver and A.J. Raby. 

Surviving are her sons, Harry "Bug" (Virginia) Burton Jr., of Mulberry, Terry (Cynthia) Burton, of Lynchburg; daughters, Marie Gattis, of Lynchburg, Dorothy Heird, of Lebanon, Betty Sue (Freddie) Hickson, of Shelbyville, Gracie Birdsong Hunt, of Pulaski; sister, Deloris Smith, of Shelbyville; brothers, Aulden Raby, of Moore County and Felton Raby, of Moore County.
