James E. Rucks

Mr. Rucks, 68, a resident of Las Cruces, N.M. and formerly of Flint, Mich., Cleveland, Ohio and Nashville, departed this life Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was born Aug. 28, 1945 to the late Alfred and Gladys Hayes Rucks.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Gloria A. Murray Rucks, of Las Cruces, N.M.; children, Christopher (Melissa) Rucks, of Denver, Leslie Rucks, of Nashville; siblings, Alfred Rucks, of Las Cruces, N.M., Claudine (James) Wilson, of Akron, Ohio, Thomas (Gloria) Rucks, of Cleveland, Mary Rucks Hurd, of Lebanon, Jarvis (Wilma) Rucks, of Lebanon, Elaine (James) Crutchfield, of Lebanon, Joseph Rucks, of Lebanon; aunt, Lena Sadler, of Lebanon; and many nephews; nieces; cousins; and in-laws.
James was a devoted and faithful member of the Las Cruces Church of Christ in New Mexico and often served as a teacher and song leader.
Family hour for Mr. Rucks will be Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Neuble Monument Funeral Home at 1330 Bluebird Road in Lebanon. The funeral will be held at the Market Street Church of Christ at 502 E. Market St. in Lebanon on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at noon.
