L.T. ‘Rawhide’ Jenkins

The family of Mr. Jenkins will be receiving friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m., Friday from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from noon until the service at Sellars Funeral Home. The funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Danny Sellars, is Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment in Conatser Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers will be Shawn Belcher, Andy Smith, Scott Smith, Lee Bowling, Bob Harrison, Mike Thompson, Mike Conatser and Patrick Clemmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Lebanon Police Department, Jim Owen and the Lebanon Roughnecks.

L.T. “Rawhide” Jenkins, age 77, passed away June 10, 2014. 

He was an ABC agent from 1968-70 and worked with Buford Pusser. Mr. Jenkins was chief of police of Watertown and was with the Lebanon Police Force for 28 years. Mr. Jenkins served on the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force, was a bailiff for Judge J.O. Bond and Judge David Durham. He was a 32nd degree Mason in Lodge 98.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his children, Nakia (Robert) Kellow, Jon Jenkins, Jeff (Alicia) Wall, Tommy (Susan) Jenkins; grandchildren, Shawn Belcher, Mackenzie Willis, Sierra Jenkins, Krislyn Jenkins, Ashlyn Jenkins and Rebecca Wall. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jenkins; son, Tim Wall; parents, Logan Thomas and Maude Pearl Eakes Jenkins; siblings, Dovie Conatser, Mildred L. Jenkins, Milton C. Jenkins, Della M. Kenney and Mary Brasen.
