Barbara Joan Cantrell

Visitation for Mrs. Cantrell will be held Monday, Aug. 18 from 5-7 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Billy Young and Pastor Gary Miller will officiate the service.

After a long courageous fight, Barbara Joan Cantrell went home to be with our Lord on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. Barbara was born July 29, 1954 to Virginia Young and the late Orville Young. Relocating to Tennessee as an adult, she spent her most cherished days with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved very much. Barbara had a passion for scrapbooking, crafts, motorcycling and spending time in God's word. Barbara also had a passion for generously sharing the love of Christ with others for which she will be remembered for the lives she touched.

Barbara was a member of Cornerstone Church Nashville and a member of CMA-Lions of Judah No. 405.

She is preceded in death by her father, Orville Young; brother, Thomas Houston Young; sister, Kathy Dejuan Saunders.

Her survivors include her mother, Virginia Hope Young; daughter, Virginia Michelle "Shelley" Campbell; husband Brian; son, Michael Wayne Dickson and his wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Tabitha Dickson, Nathan Dickson, Timothy Campbell; brother, Billy Young and his wife, Laura; sisters, Saundra Meads, Patricia Jones, Ronnie McKinstry, Jeannie Barber, Sharon Bauerly, Pamela Roush and her husband, Jack.
