Cumberland goalkeeper Ashley Kambeitz was voted NAIA Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her efforts in a pair of victories for the Phoenix, including a shutout of then ninth-ranked University of Mobile, as announced by the national office.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native collected 13 saves in the two matches. The junior recorded four saves and faced 10 total shots in a 4-0 victory over the University of the Cumberlands. She then registered nine saves against 19 total shots against No. 9 Mobile, keeping the Rams off the board in CU's fourth shutout of the year.

Kambeitz added another victory to her tally sheet in a 2-1 win Tuesday night at Campbellsville University and has 37 saves and a 1.34 goals-against-average this season.

Cumberland will face 12th-ranked Lindsey Wilson on Friday, the second road outing in a stretch of 6 of 8 matches away from home to end the regular season for the Phoenix.
