Tigerettes top Carroll-Oakland

Watertown rolled to a 17-4 win over host Carroll-Oakland on Monday.

Zoe Baskin pitched a five-inning complete game for the Tigerettes, who picked up their first win of the season. They lost their opener to Cannon County two weeks ago. She scattered nine hits and six walks while striking out one and hitting one.

Abby Cooper doubled as she and Brittni Allison each had four hits for Watertown. Madi Reeder and Hannah Eaton each had two hits. Chloe Poston doubled while Baskin, Natalie Fountain and Emma Christensen each singled.

MJCA storms past Lipscomb 15-0

MT. JULIET — Annalise Wood and Ashton Barga combined to pitch Mt. Juliet Christian to a 15-0 win over Lipscomb Academy on Monday.

Wood walked two in a scoreless first inning before Barga threw the following three frames, allowing a hit and no walks while striking out two.

Bethany Lyons led the Lady Saints with two hits. Amelia Lyons hit a bases-loaded single in he first inning following singles by Keely Sellars and Wood.
