Booher ties for second on TGA Jr. Tour

SMYRNA — Lebanon's Charles Booher II finished in a three-way tie for second place Monday on a TGA Junior Tour event at Smyrna Golf Course.

Booher shot an 82 to finish five strokes behind the winner in the boys' 13-15 tour division.

Lebanon's Madeline Buckley fired a 49 over nine holes to finish fourth in the girls' 12-18 tour.

Drew Porth, also of Lebanon, was 13th in the boys' 16-18 tour with a 104.

Johnson, Botts finish high at Cap City Open

NASHVILLE — Lebanon Golf & Country Club pro Audie Johnson finished in a four-way tie for sixth place Tuesday in the Capital City Golf Association Open at McCabe Golf Course.

Johnson followed Monday's 63 with a 70 on Tuesday for a 133, three strokes behind winner Philip Lee, an amateur. He was tied for fifth among pros, two strokes back.

Lebanon's Ryan Botts, playing as an amateur, tied for 10th place with a 134 built on rounds of 65 and 69, finishing third among amateurs.

Mt. Juliet's Daryl Edens shot a two-day 150 on rounds of 73 and 77.

In the senior division, Lebanon amateur James Spears carded a 156 on rounds of 76 and 80.
