From staff reports
The rain-delayed 13-year-old Babe Ruth state tournament will resume Friday in a different city much closer to most of the participating teams.
After rain in Johnson City delayed the nine-team double-elimination tournament to the point it couldn't be finished last weekend, Babe Ruth officials moved the remainder of the event to Cookeville.
The Lebanon Lions will play at 5:30 p.m. Friday against Giles County, with the winner catching Cookeville 45 minutes after the game's conclusion in the loser's bracket.
Cookeville received a bye when Franklin pulled out of the tournament.
Lawranceburg and Johnson City will meet in the winner's bracket final.
