MJCA Middle now 3-0

MT. JULIET — Mt. Juliet Christian shut out visiting Providence Christian 36-0 Saturday at Suey Field.

Five different Saints scored as Triston Mathis, Alex Pitman, Preston Sloan, Josh Jose and Samuel Blackwell crossed the goal line.

Mt. Juliet Christian's defense had several takeaways and scored a safety. The unit has allowed just six points while the offense has scored 116 in a 3-0 season.

"The guys are filled with a lot of energy and passion," Mt. Juliet Christian coach Mike Kittrell said. "They really are a great group to be coaching. These guys work very hard day in and day out.

"I feel very blessed to be a part of what God is doing here at MJCA."

Following a week off, Mt. Juliet Christian will travel to Cornersville on Sept. 5.
