New options available for live Cumberland video, audio, stats

From staff reports • Updated Aug 28, 2013 at 10:53 PM

Cumberland University Athletics is adding to its services for live video, audio and stats for the 2013-14 academic year beginning with Wednesday’s first home event, a volleyball match against Tennessee Temple at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.

Live video will be the same as last year from Stretch Internet, with links for live video, audio and stats available at this link. Audio will be provided this year for volleyball, soccer and softball contests by Cumberland freshman student Matt Smith along with selected color commentators.

New equipment purchased this summer will also allow the Athletic Department to broadcast selected home events with audio to go along with the already available video feeds for basketball and baseball when those games are not on the radio (WANT/WCOR). The new equipment also enables an audio only feed for selected home and road contests, with all of those links also found at the above Stretch Internet page.

A new live stats company has been contracted, StatBroadcast.com, that will provide live stats for all home contests and selected road games. The links for those may be found here. The StatBroadcast.com live stats may also be found on your mobile devicehere. Live stats will continue to work along with the video on the Stretch Internet page.

Packages are available for purchase for the men’s and women’s soccer home games. The seven men’s matches may be purchased for viewing for $25 and the eight women’s contests cost $30. Log-on at the Stretch Internet link above to create a username and password if it hasn't been done previously.
