EAGLEVILLE — Eagleville hit four home-run scores to subdue Watertown 35-14 Friday night.

Ryan Jordan threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns, including an early 71-yard strike to Maison Vallance and a 36-yarder to Vallance early in the second quarter. He found Britt Roberts from 45 yards out early in the fourth quarter as the Eagles moved to 2-0.

Chris Hale made it 14-0 with a 34-yard scoring run in the closing seconds of the first quarter. Hale added a 1-yard score in the third.

Ty Jobe played despite spraining his ankle last week against Cascade and scored both Tiger touchdowns on runs of 1 and 2 yards. He completed 13 of 32 passes for 189 yards and three interceptions as the Purple Tigers fell to 0-2.

"We had a rough first half," Watertown coach Gavin Webster said, noting a Tiger touchdown which was called back by a holding penalty. "Penalties hurt us.

"It's not an excuse, but we had a lot of young kids out there and we're adjusting to that."

Watertown will open District 8-A action next Friday with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Trousdale County.
