Friendship Middle blanks Carroll-Oakland

Friendship Christian Middle School improved to 3-0 on the season with a 36-0 win over Carroll-Oakland.

Commanders’ running back Mickey Jones was involved in each of Friendship’s five touchdowns on runs of 15, 56, 2 and 66 yards, respectively. Jones also recorded a 17-yard touchdown pass to Wesley Elliot in the second quarter.

Jones finished the game with 159 yards on seven rushes. He was also 5-of-8 passing for 89 yards with Adam Husseini going 2-for-2 passing for 6 yards. Chad Holcombe led the Commanders with three receptions for 31 yards.

Jones also led on defense with seven tackles with one for loss. Elliot, Jackson Cherry and Jacob Bostian each had six tackles.

Friendship next faces Coopertown on Tuesday.
