GLADEVILLE — Amanda Nugent notched a hat trick Tuesday night as Lebanon scored a 3-1 win at Wilson Central.
Nugent scored four minutes in and got her second goal 15 minutes later by splitting a pair of defenders and putting the ball over the keeper’s head for a 2-0 lead.
Wilson Central scored inside the final 15 minutes of the first half to draw within 2-1.
Nugent completed her hat trick midway through the second half when she took a pass from Maricruz Ramirez, dribbled past three defenders and went one-on-one with the keeper.
Lexie Braden posted three saves for Lebanon, which outshot Central 8-3.
“We played really well,” Lebanon coach Kempess Villafana said after the Lady Devils improved to 3-5-1 for the season and 2-5 in District 9-AAA. “The girls put their head down and went out to work. I was very impressed by the team performance. We had a game plan and we stuck to it excellently.
“Wilson Central never gave up, making for a very exciting game. They came ready to battle.”
Lebanon will next travel to LaVergne before closing the regular season at home against Stewarts Creek next Monday.
